Environmental Biodegradable Additive

Environmental Friendly by Others
Green Bags ( Non-Woven Bags )
Green bags are made by polypropylene ( PPSB ), which is a fossil fuel based plastic. While most of people state that this can be re-usable, and multi-used in many times. However, even the best environmental intention of mind, sometime you may forget to bring along, and end up to buy a plastic bag or purchase another green bags.
And also, a lot of green bags taken as promotion items, and these bags are finally stored at home.

Paper Bags
Although paper bags seems to be environmental friendly.
However, it takes four times more of energy to manufacture a paper bag compared to a bio-degradable plastic bag ( Comparison is based on cutting the trees from forest to a piece of paper, and the crude oil to polybags ).
In Recycling Paper & Recycled Plastic Bags
Recycling Paper will takes 9 times more of energy, in compared to the same weight of recycling plastic bags.*
Additionally, most of the paper bags or boxes are coated with a laminated film, as the protection of printing and glossy finishes. The film gives the paper bags extra difficulty in recycling process, where plastic film cannot decompose in landfill.

Plant for Bio-Plastic
Plant based plastic is either PLA or PSM material.
Takes PET as an example, PET with its MEG ( mono-ethylene glycol ) made from sugar crane of plants, the ethanol derived from sugar crane, has to be converted into MEG through a series of process, and then MEG polymerizes with PTA to form PET resins.*

Recycled Plastic
The common re-cycled plastic is RPET.
RPET is made from the used PET Water Bottles, which is collecting from the recycled bin, facilities, and then re-pelletized for reuse.

Less Plastic Material Adopting
Changes of using the less material, with changing the packaging design. One of the Beverage Supplier has recently changed their water bottles, to a lighter packaging, with 40% less than their existing bottles.
This changes can easily adopted, with changing the using customers environmental attitude.
